                                                                                                           1.                  CCTV

                                                                                                          2.                  Winter Tee/ Distance Markers

                                                                                                          3.                  Covered Driving Range Fund

You will be given forms to tick your choice on.  Please return these to the Office.

The number of members has increased due to the latest publicity drive, so the prize fund is increasing as is the amount that we are raising each year.     Thank you for your support and please make sure that if you pay by cheque, you hand it into the office as soon as possible, so that you can continue to be included in the draw

DRIVING RANGE

LATEST NEWS

Work was progressing well on the driving range; however the Mendip Planning and Environmental departments and English Heritage delayed progress for a couple of weeks with queries over the materials proposed for the roof and walls.  It has finally been  agreed that the roof will be matt green metal and the walls clad with treated feathered edge horizontal wood cladding.  All materials have now been ordered and work will recommence during the week ending 13th of April. With the help of a number of enthusiastic members we plan to complete the work and officially open the covered range by the end of May.

It is intended to open the Covered Range with a Target Golf Competition. Start thinking about your 4/5 person team now.

(watch this space for more information).

We would like to thank all those members who have made this project possible through contributions, promissory notes and supporting the 3 fund raising raffles organised by club committees. To fit the range out properly we need to reach our target of  £8,500. Anyone who has not yet contributed and would like to do so, please give your contribution to David or Julia in the office.

The Driving Range is only part of the 5 year Develop Plan which is intended to attract more members and make our club one that we can all be proud of.

Thank you for your support.

  MESSAGE FROM THE CLUB CAPTAIN

Owing to the large number of ‘no-shows’ at 3 Captains’Day, Medal Competitions etc.,  as from May 1st, any member who puts his name down for a Competition, the Wednesday Stableford being the exception, and does not turn up or notify anyone of his inability to play, will be disqualified from playing in the next 3 competitions.
