Seniors Captain’s Away Day – Tuesday 27th June – Oake Manor GC

This beautiful course near Wellington is the venue for the 2017 away day.  It is well known for amazing food!!   The sign up sheet is on the Seniors notice board. Please note: coffee and bacon roll will be available from 9.30 am with the 1st tee time at 10.30.  The cost for the day will be £30.00 per person

Payment has to be made by Monday 19 June to confirm attendance and by cash or cheque (payable to “Orchardleigh Golf Club Seniors’ Section”)  to be placed in SENIORS’ Competition box.

If paying by cash, ensure your name is on the envelope.

Matches have been going well with some great games on superb courses with enjoyable company.   It is good to see some new names on the team sheet, so do feel that you can come and join us – whatever your handicap.   The month of May saw draws away to Yeovil and at home to Farrington, and losses at Wells and Hamptworth, but also victories at Bristol and Clifton and against the Ladies (played over 9 holes in the rain!)

Sign up sheets for the next two matches are on the notice board so PLEASE come along and join us.  At the time of writing we still require one more player for the HOME match against Bristol and Clifton on Friday 2nd June at 13.00.

The closing date for round one is approaching fast, so do make sure you have completed your games in time.

The Eclectic is also in full swing – have you played any eclectic rounds yet?

Now that we have had some rain, the course seems in even better condition than before – I look forward to seeing you at the roll-ups and, of course, in the matches!
