Ladies News, Events and Results
The Ladies enjoyed an adapted version of the Solheim Cup. The first round was on Tuesday 9th April but because the weather was not kind and persisted in raining only the front nine of foursomes was played and the back nine of 4BBB had to be abandoned. After the first day of play in which 22 ladies took part, Europe was in the lead with a score of 3 and USA 2. The second round on Thursday 11th was match play and as it was a lovely sunny day 18 holes were played. The overall result was 12 to Europe and 4 to the USA. The ladies enjoyed lunch after the match on Thursday and the Trophy was presented to Carol Marquiss as the Captain of the European team. Sue Sweet was Captain of the USA team.
